ARTS ADMINISTRATION

 


Gallery Assistant, Eaton/Shoen Gallery

In addition to standard gallery duties, I was responsible for the deployment of and the  training in computer technology that was to be used in management of the gallery.

Program Director/Executive Director, Friends of the Western Addition Cultural Center

Responsible for the implementation and development of arts programs for a 3 story multi-purpose cultural center. The facility included an art gallery, 2 theaters, a music room, a film viewing room, and artist workshop & studio space.

Gallery Manager, San Francisco State University Student Union Art Gallery

Responsible for managing, programming and curating general exhibitions and traveling shows (including special exhibitions from the Goethe Institute and the Consulate General of the Netherlands.) I developed a photography lecture series that featured such speakers as Henry Holmes Smith, Linda Conner, and John Gutmann.

Assistant to the Director, African American Historical and Cultural Society

Responsible for a myriad of administrative duties including including installing a Library of Congress traveling exhibition on the life of Fredrick Douglas

Project Coordinator, Eyes and Ears Foundation Photography on Busses Exhibit

Curated and coordinated a series of photography shows on San Francisco MUNI busses.
